Unfortunately, with the leg shield on, I can only (just barely) fit one (500hz) of the two (500-600hz) paired PIAA horns I had installed, to replace the factory horn. I like the factory horn, but I found it wasn't loud enough for really loud traffic conditions, or for those situations when a quick wake up blast is needed, such as when signaling to a car, truck, or bus that you are where they are trying to go.

Several questions for you:
1) How did you decide on this model(s) for a replacement?
2) Why did you choose the 500hz over the 600hz?
2) Will any 12v replacement horn work?
3) Is there spec data that gives decibel ratings for old vs new comparisons?
