Battle of the Roads (1950)

Another of the series sponsored by the Australian Road Safety Council, this film shows how the modern automobile has developed lethal powers over the years. We see how the modern car uses speed sometimes to the danger of the driver and his passengers as well as to the pedestrians who cross his path. The film emphasises the need for every driver to know the braking speed of his vehicle and the care which must be taken to avoid different hazards.
