I Believe! Thanks Rob. Haven't seen that one for a while. No, I was not alive when it aired originally.
We tend to rememebr the high points and the rest fades away. What's the old P.K Dick line, "80% of everything is crap"? I think that's always been true. But tough to take sometimes.

Just awesome. Thanks for posting that. No one, and I mean NO ONE has ever been as cool as Mr. Sinatra. Now I am going to have to go turn on Vegas Vick's Rat Pack on Live365!
Well, it's not a matter of remembering, since I was also too young to see this. It's a matter of the bar being lowered.
I grew up with this kind of music being played in the house on records and radio. I've heard these particular pieces so many times I can't count.
Agree or disagree, you'd never see this kind of class or patience with a performance, the way it's shot, the lighting, the patience with the material, not to mention the two gentlemen themselves and their talents on TV today. If so, tell me where, I'd love to tune in. Otherwise, it's Youtube and the way back machine, Sherman.
Oh, and it was Theodore Sturgeon, and it's 99%. ;) (Sturgeon's Law)
Vegas Vicks! Great stations. I used to listen to his Tiki Lounge as well, way back when I was doin' a Humble Radio show on Live365 (before the listener caps)
Yup. Sinatra. One of a kind. And so many phases, too. His voice is at its best here, imho.
