The Japanese Mail Carriers, actually Mail Men, since I've never seen a woman in this job, use Yamaha motorbikes. They used to use Honda Little Cubs, but recently switched over to the Yamaha Mate.

Leg Guard Recycle

Leg Guard Recycle

I happened along a used beat-up leg guard that was tossed in the garbage. The shop owner said it was slightly cracked. It was. Near the mounting plate on the other side. But no problem. There remained enough plastic to secure the side to the bike frame. I did a quick sand/paint and viola! I have the original "plasma white" leg guard stored for the winter.

Scary Pair

You can see a CD hanging on a branch between the pair of ghouls. CDs are used as scarecrows as well.

This thing is actually called a Super Cub Trike

This thing is actually called a Super Cub Truck

Found this one on Goobike, the bike sellers magazine in Japan. The owner wants 600,000 yen, which is roughly $6000!

There aren't much details for the bike in the ad, but that is definitely not a 50cc engine.

Visiting the Airport Nearby

Visiting the Airport Nearby

Ok, it's not a Super Cub, but it is Super! Not too far from my place is a small airport. It has a tower, but no night flights. It's also a good place to road test one's Super Cub. They've got some nice access roads which run alongside the taxiways. No cars, just you and the road.
